What if I move? Can I take SafeDen with me?

Yes! Your investment in the SafeDen system can be moved and reinstalled at your new location. Our skilled technicians can help with the coordination of your move. Please contact us for details on moving and travel packages.

How can SafeDen protect my family?

For starters, securing your wireless network, providing off-site data backup in case of a disaster, protecting your children from unwanted websites, and enabling secure video surveillance giving you peace of mind!

Can SafeDen control other electronics in my home other than my computer?

We are constantly testing interfaces with other ‘smart’ devices in the industry. Please contact us with your specific questions and we will do our best to address them.

Is my personal and/or business information secure with SafeDen?

Enhancing security measures and protecting your privacy is our number one concern. SafeDen uses state-of-the-art encryption technologies to ensure your wireless transmission, as well as any data being backed up from your unit, is always secure.

How long does it take to install SafeDen? How invasive is installation?

The install process takes 4-7 hours and can usually be completed within one business day. We do not need to drill or rewire your current infrastructure.

How often is SafeDen maintained?

The SafeDen system normally undergoes quarterly maintenance visits. System availability is monitored by our central SafeDen team 24/7. In the event of an electrical, Internet or other technical outage, we will notify you via email or phone.

If I have questions about my SafeDen system, is there a number I can call for immediate assistance?

From where can I view my property with SafeDen?

From anywhere that you can access the Internet!

Why should I go with SafeDen instead of a security system?

SafeDen is not a security system. SafeDen complements your current security system by adding secure video surveillance and securing your computer system.

Why can't I go to an electronics store and buy cameras and install them myself?

SafeDen uses state-of-the-art cameras that are constantly up and running and have been thoroughly tested over the years at different wireless installations. In the event of a power outage, Internet outage or other technical problem, an independent, third-party camera package does not have the ability to inform you of an outage. At SafeDen, you will be contacted via e-mail and/or phone to let you know when or if there is an outage of some sort.

Can I view my house on my cell phone?

Yes, assuming you have a data package and the ability to view web pages on your smartphone.

I only use my computer for personal use and not business use. Why do I need off-site backup?

The off-site backup is to save your personal family pictures as well as scanned documents.

Will you be monitoring my house?

No. You will be provided a list of user IDs and passwords that control access to your camera systems. There is nobody at SafeDen who can circumvent your system.

Will other people be able to log on to the Internet and see what I do in the privacy of my home?

Absolutely not. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this please let us know.

Does someone at SafeDen have to have the password to my system?

Only if you need remote support or help with your system.

Will I be able to monitor what my children are doing on the Internet?

Yes! You will have access to a list of websites your children have visited.

What is included in the quarterly maintenance?

Quarterly maintenance includes one hour of service for your desktop and laptops and one hour of required maintenance for the command unit of the SafeDen System. Any additional questions or help you may need with your systems will be provided to you at a discounted rate.

Can I pick and choose the parts of SafeDen system that I want?

The base SafeDen system cannot be modified; however, you can add additional storage, cameras and other peripherals to the system based on your needs.

Can my personal pictures be stored safely in SafeDen in case of a disaster to my property, such as a fire?

Yes! The off-site storage ensures your personal pictures, as well as all of your other data, are always kept safe for you. Additionally, you will be provided with a DVD hard copy of all your information for safekeeping.
